A message from our Vicar

It is May, my favorite month.  As a child this was the month in which I would receive many joking comments and teasing.  My maiden name was Maye.
2024 is going much too fast and we are approaching the end of our 180th year celebration.  Our Awareness Team has put together a Calendar for this year.  It is contained in this Messenger. I am so stoked to see so many activities planned.  Our church is becoming a beehive of activity!  Praise God!

The Sister’s Celebration tea on Sunday, April 21st was phenomenal.  Carol Christian, Cheryl Griesinger and Robin Kaelin are to be commended. All in attendance had a marvelous time. I would like to call your attention to the 180th Celebration Spring Concert at 6pm on Sunday, May 19th.  Bill puts together fabulous music, and our choirs are glorious!  Each and every member puts heart and soul into the preparation and performance.  We need to publicize this event and invite family and friends.  I am sure the Holy Spirit will make a special visit that evening.  Please mark your personal calendar.

VBS is back!  VBS under the direction of Stephen Flannagan will be held on June 17th-19th from 5:30-8:30pm.  We will start the evening with dinner then move onto our activities.  The Theme is “On Earth, As In Heaven”

There is a sign-up sheet in the Great Hall.  We need folks to help with activities or you can coordinate a meal.  Come have fun helping us have a great time learning about “The Lord’s Prayer”.

Thank you all for making Zion such a happy, welcoming church in which our flock can gather, worship and fellowship together.

God’s Peace;
Vicar Patti
